Yesterday was my Grandma Milli's 99th birthday.

Once in awhile, I try to imagine what it was like when she was a young woman.

The gentle breezes tousling her hair
She stood awhile, breathing in the springtime
At twenty-one, she didn’t have a care

She walked along the sidewalk with a purpose

Kittens tumbled sideways in the alley
